~ God told me to be an artist, week 36.
Friday 18th August, 2023.
This week I've been making a lot more art and thinking about how it feels and why I know I've got to keep doing it. It speaks to my soul.
So here you are, here's my little poem. I hope you like it, maybe you'll even relate to it.

It feels like falling,
a bottomless thoroughfare beneath your feet.
the hustle of a thousand busy sounds sweeping by.
an endless, swift, but gracious fall.
It is not a drop that commands a crash,
your body won't shatter upon impact,
you're somewhere towards flying.
it's just the direction that tends to keep changing.
The wind howls as each new wave passes overhead,
you try to cling to all that's around,
all that's familiar and appears safe.
but the breeze releases your hands and reminds you,
it's time to let go.
